- Rita has won many awards for her miniatures around the world including first place in portraits at the 27th International Miniature Art Show in Florida and Best of Show at the El Dorado Gallery in Colorado.
- She has exhibited in each of the World Exhibitions of Miniature Art held in London, England, Tasmania, Australia, Washington, D.C., Moscow, Russia, and Johannesburg, South Africa.

Ferruzzi called the painting "Madonnina - Little Madonna, but it is better known today as Madonna of the Streets. Some reproductions show embellishments that were added over the years to enhance religious interpretation. The location of the original painting is unknown. |
